Featured Project
Ground Investigation — North Wales

Royston Cooke directed a comprehensive pre-development ground investigation for a proposed private residential dwelling in North Wales. The investigation was carried out to BS5930:2015 and comprised three vertical boreholes (to depths of 11.55–13.40m) and one horizontal borehole (5.0m into an adjacent slope). Ground conditions revealed superficial Till deposits — mixed glacial clays, gravels and limestone boulders — overlying the Clwyd Limestone Group. Standard Penetration Tests, particle size distribution, water content and water-soluble sulphate analyses were all carried out, with groundwater not encountered prior to introduction of water flush.
